CyberLink Announces “2017 I Love Travel” Video Contest

Calling Worldwide Video Creators to Share Their Travel Memories
Adding new Category to Inspire More 360°Storytelling Ideas

Taipei, TaiwanJune 1, 2017 CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW),the world’s leading consumer multimedia software company, today launched the 6th edition of its popular annual “I Love Travel” video contest, challenging the creative and editing skills of video makers and travel enthusiasts from around the world to share their passion by creating travel-themed videos or short films.

I Love Travel” invites contestants, novice as well as experienced, to create inspiring travel short films by using CyberLink’s award-winning PowerDirector or ActionDirector video editing software, or the PowerDirector App on Android devices. In addition to conventional 2D short films, this year CyberLink adds a new 360°category to encourage 360°camera users, to create immersive 360°travel videos with CyberLink’s latest version of PowerDirector or ActionDirector, which both provide easy-to-use tools to create and edit 360°content.

Recommended topics include the contestant’s most memorable travel experience, an adventure story, or a vacation that holds personal significance. Submissions will be eligible for three award categories: The Great Travelers, Audience Favorite, and Lucky Voters’ Prize.

“Since we first launched it six years ago, the I Love Travel video contest has attracted hundreds of creators who have shared their most amazing adventures from every corner of the world. The ‘I Love Travel’ challenge offers a wonderful platform for participants to showcase their artistic vision through travel or adventure videos, while experiencing the power and flexibility of PowerDirector.”

Contestants can download a free trial version of PowerDirector, ActionDirector, or the PowerDirector App to create their video. Winners of The Great Travelers award will be selected based on editing techniques, story originality, and production quality. Prizes for the winners include a Acer Aspire VX15 gaming notebooks sponsored by Intel, DJI Mavic Pro, Samsung Gear 360 camera, Oculus Rift VR headset, and CyberLink’s Director Suite. The contest runs from June 1 to September 1, 2017. Winners will be announced on September 26, 2017.
